[ mood | cheerful ]

Hi guys. I'm new here, but I wanted to put in a good word for Andi Starr. She is an amazing musician, not to mention one of the kindest and most "real" people I've ever known! Her style is fairly eclectic, but probably best described as ethereal rock. Her voice and music are quite unique, though it has been described as "hauntingly beautiful", and at times compared to Tori Amos, Shawn Colvin, The Cowboy Junkies, and The Cranberries. She just released her 4th album, "Leaving the White Line", which is currently available at CD Baby. For those in the Portland, Oregon area, there is a CD release party coming up on Januray 26th. It's $10 in advance or $12 at the door, with the album included in the price of entry, and cellist Adam Hurst opening the show. Please, do yourself a favor and listen to the amazingly beautiful music of Andi Starr, which will touch your soul and open your heart.

[ mood | stressed ]

Okay, I cannot stress this enough...

Everyone neeeeds to download something by "Metric" !!!!!! It is imperative! I'll get some links up when I can, but until then, try searching on your Kazaa or Imesh or Soulseek or whatever you get your music from and really REALLY get some! It's addicting. O_O;

Also.. I feel weird about posting on here when there's no one watching >_> It's like being the only one in a club at school AND being the president AND the Treasurer AND the secretary. It's actually quite funny to watch.. Stop laughing at me, weirdos.

Proof that Canadians are just that awesome.

The Unicorns - Jellybone

Eversince my friend Dena [Office Party] told me about these guys I've been listening to them. She's got great taste and a superb journal. It's quite entertaining.

Are you in the mood for some 80's synth pop with an edge? Had the pop music of 1988 continued unabated and fallen into a vicious cycle of desperation and frustration, we'd have The Faint. There are a few of their songs that are questionable(the begining of "Birth" is weird. o.O but the rest of it is just a driving dark and curious song. This makes it one of my favourite songs by them. If only those Omaha boys were a little less rad), but for the most part they're very nice.

The Faint - I Disappear

The Faint - Call Call

Also, who remembers David the Gnome? <3<3 I think I love him.
